What You’ll Do

Join Chef Derrick and try your hand at creating a variety of Southeast Asian dishes.

In this hands-on cooking class, you'll explore the warm, savory, succulent and sweet sauces and spices used in Southeast Asian cooking as you use fresh ingredients to make beloved recipes.

Begin in Indonesia as you prepare classic chicken satay with coconut milk and red curry paste, and cook a Thai favorite of sautГ©ed eggplant, red peppers and basil with your choice of protein. Then, Chef Derrick will teach you how to pan-fry rice with Korean beef bulgogi and kimchi before ending class in Thailand with a sweet sticky rice dessert featuring coconut caramel sauce.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Our experience with Chef Derrick was fantastic. He is very personable and a talented chef. He was patient with our questions and taught us many new cooking skills. I highly recommend a class with him.

My husband and I were gifted a Cozymeal gift card and decided to put it toward a private chef experience. Chef Derrick cooked a beautiful meal for us. The steaks were huge and flavorful, the avocado fries were crispy and the side dishes were all tasty. It was our first time trying potatoes terrine and we liked the way he prepared this particular side dish. Our dinner was very gourmet and Chef Derrick was professional, easy to make conversation with and he even let my toddler snack on some of the ingredients while he was cooking. We enjoyed leftovers the next day because there was so much food!! Thank you Chef Derrick for a memorable Valentine's Day.
