We signed up for the Thai cooking class with Chef Elham and had an incredible time. Weâ€™ve taken Cozymeal classes before- this by far was our favorite. Apart from the food being absolutely delicious, what stood out were the conversations with Chef Elham. We also walked away from the class with more confidence in the kitchen as a bonus. Thanks chef Elham for a great night, canâ€™t wait to recreate the recipes at home!

We took the adventures in Thai Cooking with Chef Elham. Loved it. Small class--3 couples so each worked on a separate recipe. Chef went over ingredients, how to prepare them, shared with us many of the unique ingredients and how to get them. The food was amazing, I left feeling like I could make any of these dishes at home, and cant wait to try them.

This was a fun gathering, especially as an outing for my husband and I that was surprisingly very close to our house. It was nice to converse with other participants where we all had varying levels of cooking experience. I appreciate Chef Elham's conversational instruction that wasn't heavily demonstrative. It was a great dinner and I look forward to trying one of the recipes at home.

We had a great time! Chef Elham opened up her home to us, had all the ingredients ready and provided a nice set up. There were 8 people in the class which made it a lot more fun. Such a great experience. The downside to it (nothing to do with the chef) the app needs to be more clear on the area that youâ€™re booking the class inâ€¦ Andâ€¦ There needs to be more communication before they take your money. This is legit class and the company is real. The way they book the class makes you feel like it is a scam. Other than that, Chef Elham made it a positive and fun experience.

I attended the "Handmade Soups" cooking class with Chef Elham and both the evening and Chef Elham were outstanding - what a great way to spend an evening! Chef Elham was very welcoming and provided a wonderful space in her kitchen set up with cooking stations well-organized with all ingredients and tools needed for each recipe. She was very informative and knowledgeable, taught us various techniques we would be using and then guided us through preparing our various soups. Once completed, we all sat down together and enjoyed each other's company and creations. And the soups ... each one was AMAZING!!!! Thank you, Chef Elham!

Would highly recommend attending one of Chef Elham's classes. We had a great time, learned new recipes and techniques, and tasted delicious food! Chef Elham has a gorgeous home and it was a great place for a cooking class. She has been teaching for sixteen years and has a wide range of styles and expertise to pull from. I loved her version of souffle which also was much easier to make than I had previously thought. Iâ€™d love to take another class from her.

My first experience with Cozymeal was very disappointing. I took a friend for their birthday. It was very overpriced for what was actually offered ($250 for 2 people for 1 hour) The sushi tasted fine but the only thing we learned was how to roll and cut 2 sushi rolls. The first course was eliminated without mention and â€œclassâ€ that was suppose to be 2 hours was barely over 1 hour. There was no prep of food included and recipes were very limited.

I was not very happy with the experience for several reasons. The class mentioned that we would get to make a 4 course meal; however, we only made 3 as the dessert crepes were never made. Not only that weÂ could only cook 1 item each.Â We were not able choose what we wanted to work on.Â It was first come first serve. The chef said there can only be 3 people assigned to make crepes and if you didn't speak fast enoughÂ then you had to make something else. The crepes were already made ahead of time. The folks were working on just making the filling. One of my group members just worked on chopping shallots, adding thyme, and rolling the crepes. One of the people in my group was not interested at all in making a souffle,Â so she was told to make a sauce for the dessert souffles. The chef took the sauce from her at some point and she was relegated to rolling crepes. Also when I would ask any questions to the teacher, most of the time she just told me to refer to my instructions. If I wanted to look at a piece of paper I would have stayed home. She mentioned also that cooking souffles is not that hard; however, the savory souffles that were made by the group were undercooked and under spiced.Â I have taken multiple cooking classes and in all of them I have been able to cook all the recipes that they agreed to teach us and recreate it at home. I cannot say after paying $95 that I would be able to do that. This class was a major disappointment and I will never book a class with this chef again. She either needs a better space so everyone can cook everything or she needs to only have a handful of students.Â

Booked the class Simple Yet Stunning Desserts with Chef Elham in San Jose (Almaden)

The teacher was nice but the class was not at all what I expected. All items we used were premade we did make anything from scratch. The class description was mis-leading. I was expecting to learn at least how to make dessert sauces. The materials provided were low quality. One of the desserts offered to be used was a pudding snack pack. I was extremely disappointed the presentation and lesson was a 5 min discussion. Not worth the 85.00. I was interested in talking more classes but now I feel mislead and not sure if the class description is true to my explanation. I also invited two friends and I few bad and embarrassed that they were invited to a bad experience. My friend even ask the chef to show her something and was dismissed by our instructor. The instructor response was just cut the cake and layer. For the price we paid I think she could of showed her student how the layer a truffle. This class was elementary level something for a classroom project.

Chef Elham taught us some very delicious dishes. Now I know how to make thinner crepes and the Grand Marneir souffle is the best I've had, better than the one I got from a restaurant. Everything was good and we had a great time.

Chef Elham is a very nice lady! I definitely feel a lot more confident making sushi now, but I feel the class could have been a bit more strategical and organized. It was hard to move around in the space to get to some needed items. I also was a bit overloaded with all of the demos being completed at once and trying to remember everything once it was our turn. I could have taken notes though as I understand this is typical for a cooking class. We got to meet her dog who is wonderful, but he was barking for a long time in the back room and even though she was very apologetic, I couldn't help but still be irritated by it. I know it was only her 3rd class so I'm sure there will be much improvement as she continues her teaching endeavors.
