What You’ll Do

Bask in the sunshine of classic Mediterranean dishes made from scratch.

Culinary Mediterranean classics take center stage in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Mah, where you'll learn how to make three traditional recipes completely from scratch.

Begin by preparing spanakopita filled with cheeses and herbs and surrounded by crispy phyllo dough. Then, Chef Mah will teach you how to make ground beef kofta kebabs with onions, spices, garlic and herbs and served with rice. Finish by learning how to prepare baklava soaked in rose water syrup and scented with saffron.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Originally from Iran, Chef Mah is a renowned pastry chef and culinary instructor bringing more than 9 years of professional culinary experience to the table. After moving to the U.S. with her family, Chef Mah began working as a custom cake baker and decorator. She has since held a handful of pastry chef positions at well-known bakeries and is now a pastry chef and culinary instructor at a trade school in New Jersey.
