What You’ll Do

Learn to cook with local market ingredients and make an Italian dinner in Oakland!

In this Italian cooking class, Chef Jen will show you how to prepare a feast using fresh Northern California ingredients.

She will show you the proper method for creating a crisp, curled Parmesan Reggiano fricco -- the perfect delectable accessory to place atop a gorgeous tricolore salad. Then, for the main entrée, Chef Jen will teach you how to cook a mouthwatering leg of lamb.

For dessert, you'll assemble a beautiful chocolate torte with whipped mascarpone and fresh berries. If the weather is nice, you will all be able to enjoy the dishes outside in Chef Jen's beautiful backyard.

Chef Jen is so friendly and generous and her food is amazing! She explained to me how to make the fricco on her salad which was such a nice touch. I also got to try fregola for the first time. Served with roasted cauliflower, it was a great accompaniment to her delicious lamb!

Chefs Frances and Sasha offered a wonderful cooking experience. We deboned and roasted a whole leg of lamb, and then chefs showed us how to cook five completely different dishes out of it! Each of the five dishes was unique and very delicious. This class made my Sunday!
