Cooking Class - Japanese Soup and Noodle Favorites

What You’ll Do

Explore the exciting dishes of Japan bursting with exotic and bold flavors.

Create a delectable display of Asian favorites in this hands-on cooking class as you discover the fundamentals of Japanese cooking with Chef Alec as he guides you through four recipes featuring authentic soup and noodle dishes.

First, you'll learn how to make a basic dashi broth — a Japanese household staple. Next, prepare a traditional miso soup with tofu and seaweed and a bowl of udon noodles in curry broth with ground pork, fresh vegetables and ginger. For your final course, enjoy salmon poached in dashi broth and served with white rice.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Alec was very polite and patient with my 7 year old who has a huge interest in learning how to cook. He explained everything in a way my son could understand. The food was amazing. I do not eat fish but I did try the salmon and loved it!!
