Cooking Class - Homemade Korean Bibimbap

What You’ll Do

Get ready to learn how to prepare the ultimate Korean comfort food — bibimbap — at home.

In this hands-on class with Chef Ann, you will learn how to prepare a three-course Asian-inspired menu featuring vegetable bibimbap with seasonal produce, farm fresh eggs, and fierce homemade gochujang sauce.

What exactly is bibimbap? A bed of pearly white rice adorned with a ring of colorful vegetables and a bright yellow egg — the shining star in the center. Like many Korean dishes, the individual ingredients are plated up beautifully so you can fully appreciate each one. Then, with gleeful abandon, you madly mix everything together. The possibilities for toppings are endless.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Ann was the best! It was like an intimate dinner party with friends, only we did the cooking! Chef Ann taught us several techniques, gave us tips, fed us from her farm, and introduced us to some great new flavors.

We loved cooking with Chef Ann. Recipes were simple enough to want to try them ourselves and her cooking tips were invaluable. Don’t miss her garden! I would repeat this experience in a second.

Ann is an excellent teacher and communicator. The food was spectacular and she is clearly a true expert in her field, with so many unique yet accessible techniques. I really appreciated that a number of the foods were seasonal, from her amazing urban farm, and that nothing gets wasted in her cooking process! Definitely recommend!
