Cooking Class - All About Ube

Discover the magic of the über versatile ube — a vibrantly purple Filipino sweet yam.

In this hands-on class with Chef Antonio, you will learn how to harness the intense purple color and subtle sweetness of ube and use it to prepare four different recipes — both sweet and savory.

Some of the recipes and ube-centric dishes you can look forward to preparing include pillowy purple ube potato gnocchi swimming in a savory homemade clam sauce, a hypnotically beautiful ube swirl bread, a simple ube tempura with butter, and chewy, powdered sugar-coated ube crinkles made with almond flour that melt in your mouth for dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a great time at the Pizza Fundamentals class! Chef Antonio was so knowledgeable and helpful. We were very interested in learning how to make pizza dough at home and he gave us great tips and advice. It was so fun learning the techniques of how to correctly fold, shape, and toss the dough and tasting our pizzas once they cooked. We would absolutely come back to do another class with Chef Antonio!
