Join Chef Mike on this organic and gluten-free culinary adventure to discover several ways to cook with shrimp!

You will be preparing two different dishes using wild-caught shrimp in this class; each is completely unique and full of flavor. First, create an aromatic Ecuadorian shrimp ceviche that will wow your senses. You'll be off to a good start after making this prized appetizer! Next, you will add grilled shrimp to a silky butternut soup for a true taste of succulent heaven, then you'll cap off the class with a sweet peach crumble.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Mike’s passion for cooking began at the age of nine when he helped his mother prepare and cook traditional Cuban food in their kitchen. A few years later, he would assist his father working in a family owned food truck selling churros and mariquitas. This all laid a solid foundation for his successful career in the culinary arts that includes titles such as head chef, baker, personal chef, cooking instructor, and more.

Chef Mike showed us what Cuban hospitality is all about! He is a great instructor and an even better host. He showed us how to make incredibly flavorful dishes in an easy, no fuss way. He enjoys connecting with his guests and he is a natural teacher. I highly recommend his class! (p.s. Ask him to show you some of his Salsa dancing)

My culinary experience with Mike was a delicious journey, from the taste of every dish to the style with which he transfers his knowledge. I have always felt intimidated by the art of cooking but Mike did a great job in simplifying the steps for me. He taught me how enjoyable and simple cooking can be, and the amazing results it can give when one truly understands the flavors and how they fuse together. One of my favorite things about Mike is his extensive knowledge of all types of cuisines, and the attention to detail of every ingredient that goes into his dishes. Needless to say, the food is delicious and with an excellent presentation. I truly enjoy taking classes with Mike as I have seen the improvements in my cooking. If you are looking for a master in the kitchen, with diverse knowledge and a gift of teaching, Mike is the person for you.

Chef Mike had a very fun approach to the cooking class. Normally, cooking for me seems like a chore, but Mike was very personable, friendly, and easy going. His skills and original twists on old favorites made the overall experience very enjoyable, and the end product was delicious and unique. I had a big sense of gratification when we were done and felt like I learned things I can easily incorporate in the kitchen regularly. I would definitely take another class from Mike!
