Cooking Class - Traditional German Cuisine

What You’ll Do

Even if you didn’t grow up eating traditional German fare, these dishes will certainly feel like home.

In this hands-on class with Chef Juan, you'll learn how to prepare a three-course menu featuring traditional German recipes, ingredients, and cooking techniques.

After beginning with a German white bean and pea salad taken up a notch with the addition of prosciutto and smoked cheese, you'll learn to make a classic dish of spaetzle with mushrooms, crispy onions, sauerkraut, and bratwurst that would make any Oma proud. For dessert, you will learn the art and science of choux pastry and build German cream puffs filled with Bavarian cream and honey.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Juan taught an amazing class last night in our home. He gave us numerous cooking tips and tricks and we look forward to preparing this meal again for friends and family!

This was just a great experience. Chef Juan was very personable and educated us on the different aspects of cooking this delicious meal. I would totally suggest this to anyone who is interested in trying to learn to cook a special meal such as this.

Thoroughly enjoyed our foray into German cuisine. I was a tad hesitant but Chef Juan helped to clear up misconceptions about their food.We all worked hard to create a very delicious, savory meal. The beers that Chef introduced us to were very good and told us where we could purchase them. Chef Juan's personality helped to set the tone for a relaxed atmosphere! Worth every penny; well done, Chef!
