Cooking Class - Advanced Sushi

What You’ll Do

Hone the skills you need to bring some of the most colorful sushi rolls to life!

In this hands-on class with Chef Christian, you will learn some of the more advanced sushi techniques and recipes to create stunning, colorful, and utterly delicious sushi in your own kitchen.

Some of the techniques you will be learning include how to slice paper-thin cucumbers for kani su with crab, avocado and massago, as well as how to take a simple California roll and transform it into a beautiful eye-catching rainbow roll. Plus, you will learn how to create a volcano roll that will explode with flavor and flair!

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Meet your chef


After starting his career working in Japanese and sushi restaurants in a variety of capacities, including roles such as prep cook and sushi chef, Chef Christian now boasts a resume with over 20 years of experience. Chef Christian is now the head sushi chef at a prominent Japanese restaurant in Miami where he has been for almost 10 years serving up incredible sushi, and looks forward to sharing his knowledge to you.

We had a group of 4 attend the impressive sushi class with chef Chris. Everything was nicely prepped for us when we arrived. It was a great hands on experience and teaching throughout the class. We will definitely love to take the tempura class when we are back in Florida. Thanks for a fun family day!
