Catering - Four-Course Eclectic Luxury

We had a lovely time and Chef Gene was very nice. He had a beautiful set up for us to dine in his back yard.

We had a wonderful time at Chef Gene's home! This was a special treat for a friends 30th birthday and it didn't disappoint! It was cozy and we sat outdoors in his beautiful garden. The meal was fabulous and he provided wonderful advice and instructions we home to try on our own sometime! I highly recommend this experience!

The experience was great and personal. Chef Gene warm and kind spirit made the cooking class amazing! Our dinner was mind blowing and totally delicious. This was a birthday celebration for my wife and we all agreed this experience went beyond our expectations. Chef Gene is simply the best!!! We are still in the WOW factor we were just so overwhelmed by this extraordinary dining experience. Thanks Chef Gene..

We were looking for a nice and special dinner in Los Angeles and found this experience on Cozymeal. Chef Gene's venue is breathtaking and the food was delicious. We all really enjoyed the food and the interaction with the chef so we plan to take a cooking class with him in the next few weeks.

This is for sure an amazing experience. Chef Gene is very friendly and welcoming. His home is nicely decorated with a backyard that you can chill and relax in. Food is fresh and delicious. It's like dining at a 5 stars resort with a private chef! AWESOME!!!!

Absolutely incredible evening. The food was exquisite but what made the evening even more special was the gorgeous setting. The house is stunning with a breathtaking view. We were so impressed and will definitely be back again.

We booked with Chef Gene for our 1 year anniversary and it was an AMAZING experience!! We felt very welcomed and comfortable in Chef Gene's gorgeous home and had time to relax in his backyard which felt like a resort. Chef Gene was also kind enough to alter the menu for us to cater to my fiance's dietary restrictions. Overall it was a fabulous evening and we really enjoyed the food and the experience!

Chef Gene was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good, if not great. However, the experience is not what was advertised or eagerly anticipated. I contacted Cozymeal two nights prior to the event to confirm the experience would be more interactive, and their Chef Community Manager responded that the class was "very hands-on". The only interactive component of the entire evening, was placing the pre-made butternut squash filling into wonton wrappers (which were surprisingly delicious) and sealing the ravioli. The entire balance of the four course meal was prepared (prior to our arrival) and assembled/cooked by Chef Gene while we sat around his dining table. While it was nice to be sent home with the recipes, it would have been far more satisfying to prepare the meal (or at least MUCH more of it) ourselves. Also disappointing was that the location originally advertised on the Cozymeal website was changed the day before from an ocean-view backyard in Pacific Palisades to an ordinary (and rather warm) dining room in West Hollywood. However, the company was really friendly and easy-going. The conversation was great and it was nice to meet new people.
