Learn how to perfectly pan-sear steak at home with a gorgeous crust and juicy center.

During this live and interactive virtual cooking class with Chef James, you'll learn how to prepare different cuts of steak using whatever pans you happen to have in your pantry, as well as a twice-baked potatoes and asparagus a la plancha.

Chef James will walk you through every step of the process, from preparing your steak to perfectly pan-searing it to achieve a beautiful crust and juicy center.

Prep Work Details

About an hour prior to the start of class, you will likely want to do the following: 1. Put the potato or potatoes into a 450-degree oven. Be sure to follow the recipe and fork them, etc., before inserting into oven. Bake for 45 minutes or until tender. 2. Remove steak from refrigerator and dress with a small amount of olive oil. Massage well. Season with salt and allow to come to room temperature. See you all soon, James

Chef James is fun, personable and knowledgeable. His tips for use of herbs was great (with butter) on the steak, YUM, and the stuffed potatoes OMG. Added bonus, he has a cute pup named Lucy Hill. We would love to cook with him again.
