I am a member of the Puget Sound Personal Chefs Group, the International Association Of Culinary Professionals (IACP), and the Seattle Toklas Society and also provide recipe development for the Washington State Potato Commission. I am active in food access and empowerment work through Pike Place Market’s Food Access Project and Project Feast. My love of food comes from my family and I love to create traditional dishes with a modern twist.

How can I have lived in the U.S. for so long without knowing how to make tamales?! Chef Raquel gently taught me how to make these delicious Mexican treats and now I can’t wait to try out her tips at home. Great class for anyone wanting to learn more about one of the great cultures that influence our cooking today.

We had a fantastic time learning to make Tamales with Chef Raquel. She is an excellent teacher and answered every single question we came up with. On top of that, the Tamales were AWESOME!

I'm not a big tamales fan but Chef Raquel proved me wrong. I loved her Tamales. Great cooking class for anyone looking for simple but yet delicious dishes in Seattle.
