Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Bakery Treats

What You’ll Do

Calling all budding bakers, we've got a treat for you.

For all the young pastry chefs and bakers out there, join our cooking series focusing on crafting classic baked goods. In just five days, kids will learn how to whip up an array of tasty treats. From mixing batters and kneading dough to decorating cakes, they will learn all the essential baking techniques. Plus, they will get to grips with food prep, safety and generally have a blast baking in the kitchen. These are the ideal summer cooking classes for all aspiring young bakers.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes.В Parents do not stay during the classes.

The class lasted only 1.5 hours not 2.5. There were no skills taught. Not even basic knife skills. It was like cooking a meal box that I could get delivered to my home. No, it was worse. Everything was already prepped. the only prep that we did was mince garlic and cut herbs.

I would have hoped they would have been able to roll out dough and measure ingredients to learn more. But my granddaughter had fun and loved the cookies.
