Unfortunately I wish this was a review on the actual class, but I believe I have to let people know how difficult it is to work with Chef Pam and the cozy meal team. Chef Pam has 2 locations based on class sizes, this information is not provided to you pre-booking. In my experience, Chef changed the location of the class about 24 hours before the class, BUT you can only cancel the class for free 48 hours in advance. The class went from a north neighborhood in Chicago to downtown. There was no previous communication before changing the class, no confirmation that the change would be okay, or that we would be able to make it to the new location. Because of this, I was not able to attend the class and Chef Pam has been extremely difficult to work with regarding a refund, as in, she doesn’t want to give me one at all. The cozy meal team is not able to authorize a refund without the chef’s permission. While I can respect the 48 hour cancellation policy, it is hypocritical to not have the same policy for the chef. I understand changes can happen, but at least be willing to do the right thing and refund people who cannot make it to your class because of YOUR last minute change. So I hope people who book this class will now understand that the location of your class might change at the last minute and the chef doesn’t think it matters because it’s only 5 miles away with no regard for people without transportation, or who utilize public transportation, or whatever personal reasons a person might have for not making a location change work.
