Chef Ivan will take you on a journey through the fresh, flavorful world of sushi.
Making sushi is one of the highest arts found in Japanese cuisine. Learn how to choose fresh ingredients, prepare the components and roll the perfect roll with Chef Ivan.
Begin the hands-on class with a light and flavorful miso soup with seaweed, radish, tofu and scallions. Next, comes an assortment of sushi: Spicy tuna roll with avocado; California roll with crab, cucumber and mayonnaise; and an Alaskan roll with smoked salmon, surimi, avocado and cucumber. Finish on a sweet note with handmade matcha ice cream.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Ivan’s zeal for cooking began at a very young age, leading him to attend culinary school at the ripe age of just 14. The Italian chef, who has cooked all over Europe, now lives in New York where he runs a catering company and volunteers teaching children kitchen skills. Chef Ivan focuses on Italian, French and sushi courses, and is excited to educate guests on new techniques.
