Cooking Class - An Ode to Miso

What You’ll Do

Join Chef Andie in this hands-on class to learn how to incorporate miso in your cooking.

Chef Andie knows that simplicity is the key to perfection, and is eager to showcase four dishes that do just that.

Miso is a versatile ingredient used in many well-known Japanese dishes, and Chef Andie will show you exactly how to use it. Begin the class by making classic miso soup with wild local mushrooms, then get creative with your entrГ©e: miso-marinated black cod sided by a savory vegetable gomae with spinach, rapini, asparagus and sprouts. End on a sweet note with warm bourbon vanilla cream over local peaches.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Today’s experience was excellent. Chef Andie was as not only an great chef, she was warm and welcoming. The food was excellent and the eight of us got to help enough to make it fun but not so much as to make it a chore. A good time was had by all! She took time with the out of state guests recommending other fun things to do while in Seattle.

Chef Andrea uses ingredients that are fresh and in season. I enjoyed taking a class from Chef Andrea because of the method and ingredients that I can easily execute and host parties without cooking stress!

Andrea has privately prepared many meals for us and they were all superb! Our eclipse party was only eclipsed by.... the eclipse! And both anniversary and wedding dinners we fabulous beyond compare. Everything unique comes from her repertoire of worldly dishes. I highly recommend!
