What You’ll Do

Dodge the tourist traps and get ready for a truly authentic taste of Little Havana.

In this hands-on class with Chef Bryan, you will have the unique opportunity to satisfy your curiosity about Cuban cuisine as you learn how to prepare a three-course Cuban-Miami fusion menu.

You will begin by discovering the wonderful marriage of fresh fish and citrus before diving into the preparation of a classic Cuban dish of ropa vieja featuring sweet plantains. For dessert, you will make a richly decadent tres leches cake balanced with the brightness of fresh berries and a shot of Cuban espresso.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Hailing from a family of boxers that includes an Olympic bronze medalist, Chef Bryan opted out of the ring and into the kitchen. Chef Bryan championed his own path and became an executive chef at just 28 years old. The Colombian-born, Miami-bred chef is well versed in a variety of cuisines, including Spanish, Greek and Persian, and was rated by Ocean Drive magazine as one of the “5 Trailblazing Chefs to Know in Miami.”

Chef Bryan is focused and professional. He took the time to answer all my questions and is very friendly. He takes care of detail while presenting his dishes. He cooks with fresh ingredients and his food is delicious.
