My team did a celebration event with Chef Paulâ€™s Korean Favorites class and it was excellent! The whole experience was fun, engaging, and very well organized. The food was delicious, and we really enjoyed the hands-on aspect of cooking together. Chef Paul was very energetic, engaging and knowledgeable about food, food preparation, knife skills and modifications for allergies. I had several special request as our family has allergies to gluten, dairy and nuts and he was able to accommodate all of them. He did a great job showing us how to make sushi and maki and I loved how he brought the blow torch so we could make aburi sushi. He was also super generous with his food portions and adjusted the menu to accommodate my kids as he added an extra dish that would be kid friendly for a very reasonable fee. Also chef Paul was by prepared. He showed up early and made my entire family feel engaged, capable and confident with their new cooking skills. Iâ€™d highly recommend having him host your own family gathering or corporate event.

We recently took part in a team cooking class with Chef Paul and it was a fantastic experience. Chef Paul created a relaxed, fun atmosphere while still teaching us plenty along the way. Most of us had no experience with Korean cuisine, but he made everything clear and easy to follow. The dishes turned out delicious and far better than we expected. I recently had a cooking class with Chef Paul, and the entire experience was awesome. We learned about Korean favourites; ramen ttang, gimbap and bibimbap. He was very informative about Korean culture and traditions, providing education on their cuisine along with similarities and differences between other Asian countries. First time ever taking a cooking class and it was just an awesome experience. Chef Paul showed us everything we needed to know about how to make fresh and delicious sushi as well as little tips here and there to spot what good sushi should look like. His fun and interactive personality is really what makes it 5 stars for me. He shows genuine love for what he does and keeps in contact with his customers to give ingredient tips or just to talk about food! Overall I would do this again and look into more classes but I would never do it unless it was Chef Paul. Highly Recommended if your doing a gift or date night!

We had a wonderful evening at our private dinner sushi lesson with Chef Paul. He taught us all about the best quality of sushi rice and precise knife skills for properly preparing our ingredients for sushi rolls. As well as lots of chef tips for how to create neater rolls and of course the amazing chefs blow torch which was so much fun to use and made the sushi taste even better! This was a Christmas gift for my husband and it was truly a relaxing evening and an opportunity to enjoy learning and making the food in great company with such a patient and knowledgeable chef. We really enjoyed ourselves and each dish was delectible and more than we could finish so we ended up with a full fancy roll to take home plus one extra dessert. I donâ€™t think you could get learn this much and focus so well in a larger class. I highly recommend the experience and you will leave with better sushi making skills plus recipes! Amazing for a date night and Iâ€™m sure the in house lesson for 5 + would also be a blast!

My partner loves Korean food and so I bought him this cooking experience with chef Paul for a Christmas gift. Suffice to say...he LOVED it just as much as I did. Chef Paul was so engaging and fun and very informative all along the way. Even new skills became easy and accessible through his direction. We got to make everything and share with another couple and it was so fun. Korean food is one of our favorite cuisines and being able to learn how to make some of the dishes we enjoy our was super fun. We would highly recommend taking a class with Paul either at his home kitchen (which was so warm and inviting) or have him come to your home. I brought my 14 year old granddaughter who likes to cook for a twosome lesson with Paul, It was a fun learning experience and the sushi rolls and dessert were delicious! Assembling the rolls is harder than it looks, if you are a serious sushi chef. Paul gives good guidance and tips. His home is slightly difficult to find so leave yourself time to locate it.

I fell in love with Korean food after traveling to Korea last month. These days, there are many Korean restaurants in Calgary, so I wanted to learn Korean food, after search, I found out about cooking class in Calgary, and I got to know chef Paul who is Korean. Also Chef Paul is managing a take out restaurant, so I think he knows more about trends of korean food than anyone else, and I learned a lot about Korean food in cooking class. I am so happy to think that I will call my friends in this week to cook the food that I learned after cooking class. We learned sushi happily through Chef Kang for the first time. we always went to the restaurant to eat sushi, but it was hard to find a delicious restaurant. Among them, the place where Koreans do it was delicious, so I decided to have a fun time because I thought it would be nice to learn sushi from a Korean chef. Especially, Chef Kang is from Culinary art, and he has various knowledge about cooking, so he explained it easily, especially since he currently runs a sushi restaurant, he knows about sushi better than anyone else and explained it easily to new learners. Now, we are going to make sushi in the kitchen, not in the restaurant with my wife, and invite my friends to dinner. Thank you again and I would like to apply again soon to learn more advanced courses, not beginner courses. I strongly recommend it to those who are interested in sushi.
