Had a great experience with Chef Charuta's class. Lots of opportunity to participate and ask questions. Learned lots of tips and tricks of the trade. Also got to explore so many authentic spices and flavors. Got to prepare and enjoy a 4 course meal. Everything was delicious and can now try these recipes at home. Class size limited to 4 people so it was a comfortable learning environment.

We participated in the Rustic Italian Feast which included an Italian seasoning for a spring salad, arancini and tomato sauce, fresh pasta and riccotta cake blueberry compote. The instruction and meal was very good. Chef Charuta was pleasant and fun to share an evening of cooking and dining with. I was a teacher for many years and would encourage Chef Charuta to create a more inviting atmosphere to begin and end her class. I think it's helpful to have music playing quietly in the background to help break up the quiet of the room. It might also be helpful to introduce herself once we are all there and let her diners know a bit about herself. We had to ask about her credentials and experience as a chef. We were fortunate to meet a very social couple that we could engage with easily. However, I also think that it would be helpful for Chef Charuta to ask everyone to introduce themselves and share how they came to be here tonight or anything else that might be interesting. Again, the couples did learn about each other, but only through being social people. I think it sets the mood of the evening better to get Chef Charua to have some fun with this. When we were finished our meal I was surprised that the end came with a "that's it, we're done" type of send off. I would have felt more comfortable if Chef Charuta would have commented on the evening overall and let us know that an email for a review and optional tip would be coming our way. We were unsure about how to tip until we received such email. My husband and I were very impressed with Chef Charuta's organization, timing, assistance with the meal and easy going approach to cooking. Thank you for a fun and delicious evening!

Four of us spent a lovely and most enjoyable evening with Chef Charuta. Our chef had all menu items well prepared and seemlessly guided us through the preparation of dessert, salad, appetizer, and main courses dishes. The evening was topped off with a truly exceptional meal in all regards which would put any five star restaurant to shame. Charuta of course hosted us in her home which made for a very comfortable atmosphere. The pricing is very reasonable in my opinion and all guests in attendance highly recommend Charuta's cooking class. Congratulations Chef Charuta - well done!

We took a Rustic Italian class with Chef Charuta. She was professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. She answered our questions, demonstrated culinary techniques and had us assist with various aspects of the meal preparation to make sure we understood about the process. Making the pasta from scratch was a highlight and she made sure that we thoroughly understood and participated in each step. She plated our courses beautifully, and while we ate each one she cleaned up and prepped for the next part of the meal while she chatted with us. Thank you, Charuta! Charuta is passionate and really informative. Got some great tips on how to make a complex dish like biryani. We made a lot more food than more classes, 5 different dishes and a couple sauces as well. One thing that would be nice is if we could eat a little throughout instead of at the end. The class started at 6 and we didn't eat until 830 or so. I think the kababs could have been done first and eaten as an appetizer. It also would have been nice to have the recipes printed out for us to follow. This would make it easier to follow along and cook a little more independently. She did send us the ingredients after the class, but a more detailed recipe would be nice to have during the class. I loved how intimate the setting was, just 2 couples. We had great discussions on cooking techniques and tricks. I would definitely do another class with Charuta!
