What You’ll Do

Transform fresh, simple ingredients into a hearty Italian feast with Chef Charuta.

In this hands-on cooking class, Chef Charuta will guide you as you prepare an Italian-inspired menu focused on familiar, regional ingredients and traditional kitchen techniques.

Begin by making a bright Italian salad with tangy dressing, salty olives, bold pepperoncini and crisp croutons. Next, you'll learn how to craft savory arancini: Crunchy fried balls of rice stuffed with creamy mozzarella, tomatoes and vibrant herbs. For the main course, prepare classic shrimp scampi or chicken in fresh tomato sauce, each with homemade pasta. Dessert is a luscious, handmade ricotta cake with blueberry compote.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

The hospitality skills she acquired through her education in hotel management have served her well through the years. She's also acted as a photographer for a spice start-up. With a specialty in authentic Indian dishes, Chef Charuta takes joy in creating food and helping others develop and hone their kitchen skills.

Four of us spent a lovely and most enjoyable evening with Chef Charuta. Our chef had all menu items well prepared and seemlessly guided us through the preparation of dessert, salad, appetizer, and main courses dishes. The evening was topped off with a truly exceptional meal in all regards which would put any five star restaurant to shame. Charuta of course hosted us in her home which made for a very comfortable atmosphere. The pricing is very reasonable in my opinion and all guests in attendance highly recommend Charuta's cooking class. Congratulations Chef Charuta - well done!

An amazing experience, if I could give more than 5 stars I would! Chef Charuta was knowledgable, personable, and friendly! Everything was prepared beforehand and the fact it was at her home made it for a cozy personalized evening. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun evening!

It was a wonderful experience for both myself and my 3 granddaughters. After our evening ended, they were already talking about going to another cooking class again next year. We really enjoyed our time with Chef Charuta and thank her for teaching us how to cook Italian dishes.
