What You'll Do
Team up with your colleagues for a fun pizza-making competition.
Gather your colleagues for an exciting pizza-making competition in this team building activity led by Chef Ekta. Kick-off with a selection of bruschetta, customizable with various toppings. Then, Chef Ekta will guide you through the art of crafting the ideal homemade pizza dough, along with teaching beginner-friendly techniques to consistently achieve the perfect pizza shape. You'll then divide the group into teams and compete over crafting unique pizzas topped with a variety of ingredients. You'll conclude the experience with a sweet note, savoring hazelnut cookies that cradle a luscious chocolate filling.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Meet your chef
India-born Chef Ekta made her way to Canada in an ongoing culinary adventure. She's built a career in food, working at reputable bakeries and cafés in the Toronto area. She has also partnered with luxury brands, hosting workshops and pop-ups in India, and has shared her talents at Toronto farmers' markets. After perfecting her baking sessions for in-person and virtual settings, Chef Ekta has expanded her audience to include a new wave of home chefs.

My friend and I had an amazing time at the homemade pasta cooking class! The 3-hour session flew by as we learned to make delicious vegetarian pasta dishes from scratch. Chef Ekta was knowledgeable, patient, and made the experience both educational and fun. The recipes were easy to follow, and the end results were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this class for anyone looking to enjoy a fun and tasty cooking experience with friends.

My son and I had a delightful time at the pizza making class. Chef Ekta was welcoming, knowledgeable, patient and an excellent teacher. I like the small class size in her own kitchen. We might take some other cooking lessons from her in future.

Chef Etka was a lovely host and educator! My partner and I throughly enjoyed the entire experience from beginning to end! The food tasted great— and she also had us gauge the flavor of the food— tasting at various intervals of the cooking process to ensure it was to our liking. She explained that it’s more intuitive to taste the food and adjust your salt/spice versus following a recipe in a strict fashion. Chef Etka has a calm presence and creates a safe and fun learning environment. Highly recommend! We left with a recipe booklet of the dishes we cooked that evening as well.

Our evening with Chef Ekta was amazing! My partner and I booked the Indian Cooking class and received close, step-by-step instruction with lots of opportunity to ask questions and clarify all the steps.
Hearing all about Chef Ekta's background and how she related to the dishes we made added so much to the cooking process, and she was well prepared with all the ingredients and cookware ready to go.
We'd highly recommend Chef Ekta to anyone looking for an amazing evening of cooking. We'll definitely be taking everything we learned and trying it at home for ourselves!

Loved the pizza making class! Chef Etka has a lot of knowledge especially about making breads/dough. She's was very passionate about explaining the process and as beginners we were able to learn a lot and execute making pizzas on our own after the class was over. Will be making the the other recipes she taught again for sure.

I took the vegetarian pasta making class with Chef Ekta. The class was well organized and Ekta was very friendly. The dishes are not difficult for a beginner like me to make and I look forward to trying some of the dishes at home in particular the Panna Cotta which I thought was the highlight of the class. I very much enjoyed the experience!

Chef Ekta was so nice and welcoming, she explained each step to me and made me feel comfortable to do it on my own. This ended up turning into a private class last minute and I don’t regret it at all, it was really great to sit down together and eat the food we made. She was friendly and welcoming, very knowledgeable about the science of a good pizza! Was a cute and intimate 4 person class. We all learned A LOT! pizzas, Salad and brownies were wonderful. The little south indian appetizer she made us as a snack was so yummy as well!

My mom, sister, daughter and I (3 generations) enjoyed a great afternoon learning how to make pasta. Chef Ekta was very hospitable and made us feel very welcome in her home. We learned a lot about cooking while attending her class and loved getting to try the food we made. We enjoyed ourselves so much that 2 of us bought pasta makers the next day!!! Cooking, like other skills, requires practice, and though one could watch several YouTube videos to improve, nothing compares to having a professional right next to you providing guidance while you are performing the action. Ekta is a great teacher. We had a fantastic session. She is extremely patient and keeps her space super organized and clean. She showed us various tricks and tips. The salad dressing was simple but so good. The ravioli was scrumptious too. Thank you so much for the experience and also for letting us take the food home so our families could also enjoy.

The experience with chef Ekta was second to none! She was so well prepared, a wonderful host and teacher, and helped us learn and feel confident that we could apply what we learned with her at home. Her hand-kneaded pizza class was a surprise birthday gift for my partner, and he LOVED being able to ask her a ton of food science and pizza making questions. It was a fabulous experience - while we were in Chef Ekta's home, it was very professional, yet warm and welcoming. While I'm not a professional chef, I've been cooking for a long time and have taken a few classes, but I learned more than a few things from Chef Ekta that I never knew and better still, got to try, and as a result, I'm much more confident in my ability to be a little more adventurous. Ekta was incredibly patient, and did a great job making sure we got to be totally hands on, especially with points in the cooking process where consistency/texture changes were happening so we could actually understand how to do everything and monitor properly. It was a wonderful and filling afternoon!!

Great experience. Place was cozy and chef was very knowledgeable and well prepared. Everything was as advertised. Would highly recommend if you’re struggling with homemade pizza dough. I wasn’t going to leave a review because I don’t want to impact someone’s livelihood but this also cost good money. While the food was great and we learned a lot there were some sanitary issues that cannot be overlooked. First all of the plastic bowls and cups were reused from previous classes, which isn’t an issue unless there’s residue left behind (yellow gunk link was a clear giveaway). After creating the dough we left it to rest and Ekta asked if we minded if she reused some bags from the farmers market. It made us feel awkward, and we clearly can’t say no. Lastly after resting the dough and going to cut into shape, there were ANTS on the table and cutting board we were using. Completely unsanitary environment, would not recommend for that reason. After all was done, and we paid $300 for this class, we weren’t even offered leftovers. Gladly so, because we only put together all these sanitary flags after we left and were discussing what each of us saw independently, but would of been appropriate to get the leftovers for the cost of this class and as would be typically expected for a cooking class. Food taste 5/5, cleanliness and misc. 1/5, overall experience 2.5/5
