Cooking Class - Sushi Making 101

What You’ll Do

Get expert instruction on all the basics of making your favorite sushi dishes.

Seasoned sushi expert Chef Wone Hung Jack will walk you through a beginner's guide to making maki in this hands-on cooking class. You'll learn the basics, including how to prepare rolls and a sushi cone.

First, learn the knife skills for properly slicing fresh fish and then begin handcrafting your futomaki roll filled with tuna, cucumber, avocado and imitation crab meat. Next, prepare a classic California roll, followed by a sushi cone made Korean style. To finish your sushi lesson, whip up a delightfully sweet ice cream-style treat spiked with matcha.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Our evening with chef Jack was fantastic! It was both informative and entertaining. There were 5 people in our group and we were all stuffed by the end of our 3 hours adventure. I highly recommend booking Chef Jack if you want an amazing evening.
