Cooking Class - Comforting French Home Cooking

What You’ll Do

Chef Catherine shares some of her family recipes in this exploration of French comfort food.

French cuisine is often equated with fine dining and rich sauces, but the flavors of home and hearth are just as distinctive. Learn how to make these comforting dishes, some from recipes passed down in Chef Catherine's family, in this hands-on cooking class.

Start with a mille-feuille layered with beets and goat cheese, followed by hachis parmentier, a traditional beef and potato casserole. Next, prepare ratatouille with zucchini, tomatoes, eggplant and peppers, and a lemon tart topped with meringue for dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
