Cooking Class - Authentic Indian Dhaba Favorites

What You’ll Do

Handcraft from scratch the most popular dishes found in the dhaba restaurants of India.

In this cooking class with Chef Rahul, you'll learn how to prepare tadka-infused dishes popular in the dhaba restaurants lining the highways of India that are known for their hearty, flavorful fare.

First, Chef Rahul will teach you how to add tadka — whole or ground spices heated in hot oil or ghee — to beloved Indian dishes, like aloo tikki chaat and tikka masala. You'll also prepare fresh chutneys and warm roti. To complete your dhaba experience, make authentic gulab jamun and saffron-infused kesar rabri for dessert.

I bought this cooking class as an anniversary gift for my husband. Here's what he says, "The cooking class and Chef Rahul were a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the meal we created. Chef Rahul is very patient and excellent at answering my many questions. I learned a lot of Indian cooking fundamentals, such as roasting spices, that I can use in my own kitchen. I would highly recommend this course and I would consider taking future courses from him as well."

Chef Rahul has great people skills and explanations for the cooking methods and how to arrive at the traditional Indian flavors. We got to make our own naan bread and it was the best we've ever had. We booked this session for a christmas gift for the both of us, and it was one of the best dates we've ever been on. Chef Rahul is highly recommended by us.
