In this cooking class, Chef Mike, a seasoned expert in global cuisine, will guide you through the art of Ethiopian vegan cooking. Over the course of the evening, you'll master essential kitchen techniques while preparing a gourmet three-course Ethiopian meal.

Begin with warm teff flatbread and spiced red lentils, then create gomen and ingudai tibs - sautéed greens and mushrooms. You’ll also craft a vibrant Berbere spice blend and aromatic spiced oil. Don't miss this cultural and culinary journey with Chef Mike!

Chef Mike has experience concocting a wide range of ethnic cuisines, including Thai, Indian and Ethiopian options. For the past five years, he has led a variety of cooking workshops, but his specialty lies in crafting ethnic plant-based dishes. Chef Mike has worked in corporate test kitchens for Walmart and Campbells, and he even worked as an on-call assistant to the chef of the Canadian Prime Minister. He is eager to impart his worldly knowledge unto aspiring chefs.

We had a great time at the Ethiopian cooking class at Chef Mike's place! It was professional but friendly and homey. We learned a lot, as Chef Mike anwered all of our questions and provided great cooking tips from his many years of experience and knowledge. The food was excellent and we feel confident we can recreate these dishes in our own home. The company of other classmates was delightful and overall it was a great night. We look forward to trying another class for another special occasion.
