This cooking class in Sicily brings the vibrant flavors of Catania's legendary fish market straight to your table. As you plan your trip to Italy, experience the authentic coastal cuisine that has defined this Mediterranean port city for centuries â€” from the Ionian Sea to your plate.

Chef Giuseppe, a local culinary expert with decades of experience in traditional Sicilian seafood cuisine, will guide you through four iconic Catanese dishes. You'll butterfly fresh sardines and stuff them with breadcrumbs, pine nuts, raisins and orange for sarde a beccafico. Craft a rich Spaghetti alla Cernia with wild grouper ragÃ¹, cherry tomatoes and wild fennel. Sear swordfish alla Ghiotta in Catania's signature sweet-sour sauce with capers and olives. Finish by piping silky ricotta into crisp cannoli shells with candied orange and Bronte pistachios.
