Explore the vibrant flavors of Trinidad & Tobago with this plant-based menu by Chef Charlene.

In this private chef experience, Chef Charlene transports you to the islands of the Caribbean with vegan interpretations of traditional favorites. Begin with crispy vegan crab cakes topped with bright mango chutney. For the main course, the chef will prepare a hearty mushroom “hoaxtail” served with Trinidad pelau and hops bread. Enjoy a yuca cake with vegan soursop ice cream for dessert.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

Charlene was absolutely excellent! Phenomenal class, she did a great job of explaining the dishes (along with great stories!) and keeping both of us occupied while we were cooking. Neither of us felt left out of the experience of the cooking class! The food was absolutely excellent and will be trying to make the recipes again! 10/10 Experience

We had a great dinner party (9 in total), and overall Charlene was very good; very professional, well organized, and the food was very nice. We especially liked the crabless cakes. The group was not all veg or vegan, but everyone enjoyed the food.

We had an incredible time learning how to make three types of vegan pasta from scratch with Charlene. She brought all the ingredients and came prepared with necessary tools. All we needed to have on hand were knives, cutting boards, and pots. Not only was it three hours of fun, but the final products were absolutely delicious. It was so hard to pick a favourite. Would absolutely recommend this class; we are already thinking about having her back to learn some other dishes. I wish I could have rated this experience 10 out of 5!
