Join Chef Carlos for a private chef experience exploring the different flavors of amazing dishes from across Spain. In this interactive tasting experience, you'll get to try your hand at making some beloved Spanish classics like a Valencian paella filled with aromatic chicken and rice. For starters, put your bread-making skills to the test with a tortilla de Bonito and black bread and finish the meal with handmade churros and chocolate sauce. By the time you're done, you'll have made delicious dishes straight from Spain and on your table.

We thoroughly enjoyed our date night experience with him. The outcome was incredible, better than any restaurant pesto pappardelle we’ve ever had. He guided us every step of the way and it was fun, informative, educational and personable.
He was attentive to every step of the process. He recommended great modifications when we didn’t have the equipment or ingredient necessary.

Chef Carlos more than met our expectations, he exceeded them! What a night! He led our group in our finale event to celebrate Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month. Chef Carlos prepared two entrees with a Cuban flair, per our request. We made "All Out Pork Cuban Sandwiches" and "Shrimp Enchilado.†Both meals were well prepared and his instructions are organized and really easy to follow. The end result was delicious! He's also very entertaining and taught us more about the Hispanic/Latino culture in such an interesting and fun way, you didn't even know you're learning, but you are – about people and food and all the things that bring us together. You forget sometimes that there is a six hour difference, with him instructing from Madrid, but he makes our time together seem flawless and fun. You wish it would never end! If you ever have the opportunity to need a Chef that makes cooking entertaining and you feel better after you see him, than did before, then Chef Carlos Gutierrez is the Chef for you! Salud!

This class was really fun and Carlos was a delight. His instructions were step by step and he looked at our bowls and pans as we went along to tell us if we were doing things correctly. The meal was delicious. The written recipes didn't match up to the actual methods he used, though, so we had to redo some of our prep. I highly recommend this class!

Chef Carlos was AMAZING! It was 1AM in Madrid and you would never know it from his abundant energy, fun personality and professional teaching skills. His camera angles showed us each step and he kept the show at a high, entertaining level. We were all VERY impressed. Chef Carlos was great! He was easy to follow, and he checked in with us frequently. The recipes were not intimidating, and Chef Carlos guided us through making delicious tapas. I would do another class with Chef Carlos in a heartbeat. My 15 year-old nephew did the class also and is reported to have been dancing around his kitchen upon tasting the food. That is the mark of a great time!

Fun class. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Due to a problem on our end with my laptop, we couldn't hear him well at all which made it challenging. But it was still a great class. This was our first class with Cozymeal and I will definitely recommend.

Carlos was so great! My only critique is that the recipes in the event did not exactly line up with the recipes he had us follow during the cooking class. I just wish everything was clear and in correct terms in the event. Besides that, he is amazing and the food was so good!!!

A mi me gusto muchisimo su clase, y me encanta que hablamos espanol porque es mas facil entendernos, y que da sus ingredientes en gramos, las caxapas si me quedaron muy ricas ricas, las arepas tengo que seguir practicando pero de sabor muy buenas, nos dio una receta diferente al momento de hacer las cachapas y no pude tomar mis notas porque estaba poniendo atencion me gustaria que nos la mandara por e mail. y es muy paciente y buena onda. felicidades!!!

Fantastic experience. Chef Carlos was great. He was very knowledgeable about cooking techniques and presented in a very fun and interactive way. There were many laughs had and some excellent food to eat at the end of the night. We will definitely being booking another experience soon.

Great experience for my first class! Really enjoyed learning from Carlos. His instructions were clear and he taught us some handy tips and tricks along the way. He watched everyone’s progress and gave individual help so that everyone was successful. The pacing of the class was good, but it is helpful to prep your ingredients before class so you don’t feel rushed. The meal turned out delicious and we even have leftovers! Can’t wait to book another class with Carlos!

Carlos was an incredible teacher! He was kind and funny and taught us so much along the way. I loved getting to learn more about cooking and specific things that I will use in future dishes and we ended up with a delicious dinner. Carlos was able to work well on the fly with food allergies and preferences and made us feel right at home.

Great teacher. Patient and educational. I loved the class. It would have been helpful to have a link on how to fry plantains since this was a new experience for me, and also that the mushrooms were going to be deep fried to make sure to have enough inexpensive oil on hand (not olive). Chef Carlos was very clear about instructions and equipment. He gave good background about the cultural origins of what we were preparing. Even though it was extremely late in his location in Madrid, he was energetic and upbeat in his presentation. We are excited to try these delicious recipes on our own and "wow" our family and guests!

We had a wonderful experience with Chef Carlos! Making fresh pasta looks simple, but it's tricky. We learned a lot about the "tricks of the trade" when it comes to measuring, kneading, rolling and cutting the noodles. Will definitely do it again. P.S. The pesto is delicious.

Great class! The audio/visual of the virtual class worked great. I used our TV and Smart phone (but you can connect an HDMI to the TV from your laptop, a better idea). The steps were easy to follow, with good cooking tips. I had some left over arepas for lunch the next day. Would recommend to take the class with another person (two people in the kitchen).

Carlos did great at providing a fun experience. I've never done an online cooking class before and wasn't sure what to expect. He was able to give everyone in the class feedback on their pasta dough and provide easy tips to improve it if needed. Some people moved through the steps faster than others, and Carlos managed to keep all of them on the same page at their own pace. Plus, the food came out very tasty!

Carlos was a patient and excellent teacher. It was not an easy recipe and he walked all of us through it. My only suggestion is to be more precise about what ingredients e need. We ended up buying a a hard to find flour that we ended up not using. Not a big deal so just a suggestion.

Carlos was clearly a skilled chef with substantial experience making these recipes. He was able to provide great instruction along the way and threw in a few jokes as well. The only thing I would change is if the ingredients had the quantities and number of servings so that I knew how much to purchase ahead of time. I would for sure do this again. This was a gift for my dad as an experience to do together and he loved it.

Chef Carlos did a good job. We enjoyed the cooking lesson. He kept track and guided everyone individually well. The food tasted good at the end. We took the Authentic Italian Pasta Cooking Class. Would do it again!
I appreciated Carlos' efficient communication. I was working up until the class started, so the email an hour before the class started asking me to prep would have been more helpful a day ahead.

I liked how Chef Carlos really engaged everyone in the cooking class, all the way throughout. He made it a point to learn our names and give tips along the way on how we could modify our dishes depending on specific situations. He also gave some information about the different regions, languages, and cuisines of Spain. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect from the class but I really enjoyed it.

Chef Carlos gave us a very enjoyable class. He was very interactive and provided a lot of detail including some history of the dishes. His down to earth style was not intimidating and actually made us feel very at ease while cooking. He checked every step with us to make sure things were progressing well on our end and even asked to see the items while cooking to ensure proper cooking times. We had great side conversations about Spain and the dishes we were cooking which made it all go by too fast. We are planing another round with Chef Carlos. Jefferson is especially looking forward to it.

Great Class, Chef Carlos provided cooking tips and techniques to everyone that helped in preparation. Very easy to follow along and understand the steps. H checked in consistently to make sure our sauce was up to standards ! This was a great Fathers Day gift as my three daughters and I did it together. The sauce had very complex flavors but was easy to make by following along the right steps. Would love to have another class by Chef Carlos !!

Chef Carlos was great at handling our LARGE group. We had a little over 40 people join in for a work event to make Arepas and Cachapas. Chef did a wonderful job at having us stay engaged and provided critiques when needed. He was also great at communicating with me before the event so that we could be prepared for our dietary restrictions and beverage choices! He did all this while working from Spain and us in Texas. A 1am cooking class isn't easy, but Carlos did perfectly. Thank you again, Chef!

Chef Carlos was really good. He was able to engage the whole group, constantly checked in with individuals and made it such a fun event. We also were able to learn more about the chef's background, culture and in general, his interest in different cuisines. Chef Carlos was also very inclusive and helped team members who did not have some ingredients by suggesting alternatives and helping them to be still part of the class. Highly recommend his classes.

Got a private lesson for my birthday & it was great! We learned a bunch and had some fabulous tapas as well. Wonderful to be able to ask why and get a professional answer on the spot. Fun and engaging, Carlos is in his element teaching and it shows. Highly recommend!

Although Chef Carlos cooking lesson was a little different than the recipes and instructions sent to us before the cooking lesson it was still a positive experience. He made an effort to encourage everyone and checked in with each person during the lesson. He gave us some cultural background about the area where they make the food we made. That was interesting as well.

The class, the food, Chef Carlos, the conversation, and the technology were all excellent. Although we had 1 incorrect ingredient, Carlos was able to help us through that with substitutions. My only suggestion for improvement would be to review the recipes as the quantities on a couple of items were incorrect, therefore our pre-class prep needed to be adjusted on the fly.

Carlos was a good communicator and included all the participants. It was a delicious, fun experience. My one suggestion was to be sure ingredients needed are readily available. In our class only one couple had found one of the ingredients. Even suggestions for substitutions for rare ingredients would help. All in all, it was a very nice experience.

The team loved this experience! We have all been working remotely since March and given that we'll continue to do so until at least January, we are missing the opportunity to connect and have fun together. We thought a cooking class would be a good team building activity and this exceeded all of our expectations. The team appreciated how Chef Carlos walked us through the preparation and made what were daunting recipes to some approachable and easy. He was a funny and engaging teacher and the food was incredible. I would also note that we had a really big group (30 people) and Chef Carlos managed to help everyone and keep us all on track - that's not an easy feat. Thanks for a great event!

This class was wonderful - truly, much more fun and engaging than I expected! As a relatively seasoned home cook, I did not expect to learn much, but found that even for a "simple" recipe, Chef Carlos did a great job of sharing his knowledge from his vast experience of being a head chef around the world. Everything tasted amazing, and Chef Carlos did a great job engaging with us and being respectful of different cooking abilities and times. I would absolutely do this again, and recommend it to others. It would be a fun family event during quarantine, or team building exercise. It's not hard, but you learn a lot, regardless of what your cooking ability is!

Chef Carlos was unlike my other cozy meal classes. He was moving really fast and he was inappropriate sometimes. It is important to know your audience. It's not okay to talk about alcohol, bars and drinking when it's a group of US high school students. This happened several times despite my efforts to inform him that the students in his class were not of drinking age. Overall, not the best experience.

Chef Carlos rushed through the process. He was polite enough, but never explained what we were making. We signed up to do this so that we could have a fun way to connect family members that have not been able to visit in a year due to COVID - there was no time to laugh or interact in any way. Chef Carlos seemed tired and ready to get the zoom over with as quickly as possible. I would not recommend this to anyone as it was a waste of time. The food was fine but the experience was not what we had hoped.
