What You’ll Do

Learn how to prepare classic paella and tapas in this feast of Spanish seafood specialties.

Ignite your passion for cooking with a hands-on paella cooking class in Barcelona.

Chef Luke will be the local chef leading this cooking class, with over 20 years of experience, you’ll be in good hands.

First, you’ll make a charcoal gambas al ajillo, featuring prawns cooked with garlic, chili and olive oil. Next, craft paella "El Señorito," a rich and flavorful dish made with a variety of delicious ingredients. You’ll also prepare pulpo a la gallega a la brasa, a traditional octopus dish served with potatoes, paprika, garlic and oil. Finally, create a cheesecake de brie con compota de frutas del bosque, a decadent dessert combining cream cheese, brie, cream, sugar, gelatin, biscuits, ginger, orange and berries.

A working chef since the age of 18, Chef Luke has made a home for himself in the kitchen since childhood, when Mediterranean cuisine began to inform his culinary style. By age 20, he had risen the ranks to head chef, eventually opening his own delivery-only restaurant to serve his community during the pandemic downturn. Nothing gives Chef Luke greater joy than creating handmade food and teaching his secrets to budding cooks.
