Skye did a great job of designing theВ tour andВ tailoring it to our preferences. If you want advice on other places to try, I'd definitely suggest doing this early on in your stay.

What a fantastic way to spend the afternoonВ admiring Edinburgh's beauty while also enjoying some of the city's delectable fare. The Cullen skink was incredible, and the haggis was out of this world. Isabella, thank you for sharing your wisdom, tales, and unexpected discoveries. For the rest of the day, I didn't really need to eat anything else. The entire day was nirvana to me. I'm grateful.

Bert was a gentleman who kept things humourousВ and infectiously passionate about Edinburgh. Strongly recommended. We definitely wouldn't have discovered the treasures we did by ourselves, plus we truly valued the background information Bert provided.

Do this on your first day in Edinburgh! We had a great time on our tour; the food was delicious and a little off the beaten path. But, more importantly, Bert was an excellent tour guide: knowledgeable, personable, and entertaining. There were numerous suggestions and insights for the remainder of our stay.

This is an absolute must-do tour in Edinburgh.
Skye served asВ our tour guide. He was fantastic. He took us to the best Scottish restaurants that were locally owned and sourced. Along the way, he told us about Edinburgh's history and architecture. He also mentioned local businesses. I frequently take food tours in new cities, and this was one of the best, if not THE best. This tour, and especially Skye, comes highly recommended by our group.

As a way to learn about the history of the city and get restaurant recommendations, we reserved this tour for our first day in Edinburgh. We arrived too late for the trip due to a delayed flight, but we were able to reschedule for a few days later with Skye as our tour guide.
Skye was a great tour guide for our little party of five people—entertaining, diligent, and considerate. He was very knowledgeable about both general history and the history of food in Scotland and Edinburgh. I was impressed with the way he planned the tour's logistics so that the three hours went by quickly. He appeared to have sincere connections with the local vendors we went to. Skye is an excellent guide, in my opinion.

Worth the money!В В Actually, this was among the best moments of our two weeks in Scotland. And even while I'm certain that Bert was just the luck of a draw, we really couldn't imagined this tour being as enjoyable without him. What a treasure! And those backward walking abilities are amazing! You would want toВ hang out with this guy long after the tour is over. He speaks with so much knowledge, intellectual perspective, and creative flair. We probably won't come across anyone who is as enthusiastic about haggis, neeps, and tatties!

This Food Tour with Bert AKA Oliver was fantastic as always. Bert is a very amusing and knowledgeable guide. It's a fun and satisfying afternoon thanks to his love and passion for all things Scottish. It's entertaining, educational, the food is amazing, and you learn so much about the history of an area, the roots of a culture, as well as its food.
