From local ingredients to flavors and styles incorporated from Chinese immigrants and British colonists, you will explore dishes signature of this vibrant cuisine.

Begin with asam laksa, a rice noodle soup with tamarind from the island of Perak. Next, prepare kari ayam kapitan, a hearty chicken curry stew, while learning about the interesting history of this regional dish. For a sweet finish to the meal, learn to make Malaysia’s most popular dessert, sago gula melaka.
